The Axby House Rehabilitation
Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana
Lawrenceburg, Indiana, 2000

Located in the Downtown Lawrenceburg Historical District, at 131 Elm Street, the Axby House is a good example of the simple Italianite style frame houses that characterize the structures in that district.

The main two-story structure was constructed c. 1865-1875, while the rear wing was added between 1891-1896. By 1891 a full wide one-story front proch had been built along the main facade, on the Elm Street side.

Muller Architects provided historical research as well as a design for an extensive interior and exterior renovation.
